What to know
The dacryoscanner is an imaging study that visualises the drainage channels of tears into the nose. It requires no incision or probe and is generally painless and risk-free.
- Preparation
- Do not wear contact lenses or makeup on exam day. Inform the medical team of any allergies or reactions to iodinated contrast agents.
- Duration
- 10 to 15 minutes.
