Lumbar infiltration
In practice
What to know
CT-guided lumbar infiltration is an injection of anti-inflammatory medication into the lumbar region (lower back) to relieve chronic pain. The procedure is highly effective for conditions such as sciatica and lumbar osteoarthritis. CT guidance lets the physician visualise the needle in real time and precisely target the area to be treated.
