Question

Adhesive Capsulitis
MRI: thickened and contracted capsule with strong enhancement after contrast injection. The hyper-intense subchondral line is pathognomonic of adhesive capsulitis.

How can the radiologist help the patient?

ANSWER

After analgesia, the radiologist performs an ARTHRODISTENSION
by injecting NaCl 0.9% with kenacort to distend the joint capsule (here 15 ml.)
